This design comes with a matching 404 page for users who reach an unrecognized site url. Below is a screenshot of that link or you can see it live here.

Shape5 Vertex uses articles to display a 404 page rather than a hard coded php file that's hard to modify, like many other designs do. This means you can modify the look or wording of the page very easy without having to modify a file, and it keeps all of your site navigation in tact for ease of use for your site viewers since it uses the template and not an external file. It's as simple as editing an article through the CMS to make any desired changes, or simply leave it as shown! Our site shapers come pre-packaged with the custom 404 page article. If you are setting up a brand new site without a site shaper the easy follow instructions are below the screenshot on this page.

Setup Instructions

  • These instructions are for non site shaper installs. If you're installing with a shaper just make sure to leave the article titled "404 Error Page" published and you're done!
  • If you are installing a fresh installation with no sample data simply create an article and make sure it's titled "404 Error Page". It must be given this name for the Vertex framework to identify the page needed to be used.
  • You can put any content that you want on this new article, or we've provided the code used on this demo below.
  • Save the article to any category, just make sure it's published.
  • That's it, you're done! The site will now redirect to this article when ever an unrecognized url is detected.

Dear Woodland Villa,

I am writing to thank you for your wonderful hospitality and great accommodations at the Woodland Country Villa. Myself and a rep, Doug Yeggy, from northern CA brought 6 of our customers to stay with you and fish Salmon on the Klamath River on a business trip. We were greeted warmly and accommodated with every need. The fishing was great and the food and service at your establishment was even better. Thank you!! We will definitely be looking forward to seeing you next year.

PS: The filleting and smoking service you have for fish was very convenient and a welcomed added bonus. For me to not have to spend the time and money to take care of the fish and ship them was a very welcomed service option.

Sincerely,
Jason Vollmer

Dear Woodland Villa,

I was just cleaning out my Travel Reservations email folder and thought of you and the wonderful time I had staying at your cabins and in the Redwood Parks.

Thank you for your warm hospitality. In my three weeks of travel over the northwest and southwest, you and your folks provided the warmest welcome of any of the hotels or lodges we visited. And I appreciated your friendly greetings the most because it was the few days that I travelled without my wife or my son.I loved my entire trip and had perfect light for pictures throughout my trip. If I were to choose just one place to revisit and stay, I would return again to the Northwest and to the Redwoods and stay again at your cozy cabins.

Dear Sharon,

I just wanted to send a quick note to say what a great stay we had with you . Your cabins are cute, cozy and exceptionally clean and comfortable. I especially appreciated the fabulous sheets and soft, fluffy towels. They were nicer than the towels at any of the 4 star hotels we have stayed at. Thanks again. We look forward to coming back to that area and will definitely book with you.

Thanks again

Dear Sharon,

Thank you for a wonderful visit at your cabins in Klamath. Cabin #8 was clean, beautiful and had the most comfortable bed. It was a pleasure meeting you both and being welcomed with such warmth. Jared enjoyed the hikes and chats with Garrett, and I hope they continue their friendship through email. You were right...the Klamath Jet Boat Tour up the river and dinner at the Steelhead Lodge was an amazing experience. We all thoroughly enjoyed the excursion and it was indeed the highlight of our trip. Again, thanks so much for your friendship and hospitality. We hope to visit you again in the future.

Sincerely,
Shawn Julian

Dear Sharon,

Your cozy cabins and warm hospitality combined to provide an absolutely lovely vacation for my elderly mother and me. Every consideration was offered to us, and we enjoyed immensely our stay with you. The heater was great for those cool evenings, the towels were big and soft, and the bed was comfortable. I would highly recommend Woodland Villa Country Cabins as a vacation destination in the beautiful redwoods - quiet and rustic, yet offering the conveniences of home. You folks who own/run the cabins and store were incredibly friendly, and we will definitely be back!

Dear Sharon and crew....Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our vacation at your cabins. We had such a blast running on trails thru the redwoods, walking up creeks, watching the sunset on the beach and roasting marshmallows at the cabins. Our cabin was very clean, comfortable and loved the towels! We will be back to stay with you the next time we visit the redwoods. Thanks for everything from the videos, pizza and a clean cabin.

See you again............The Mars Family:)

Thank you for your Christmas Spirit and your hospitality during our week stay over the holiday! The cabin was very comfortable and a great place to end up after our daily adventures with two young children. We love your area and the "energy" of the Redwoods and Ocean. Take care, and we wish you good health and prosperity during the coming year.

If you're not World Famous, you should be!!

Last June I stopped in on my way to LA from Vancouver, BC and you graciously provided samples of your wonderful smoked salmon jerky. What a treat. Now its Christmas and I'd like to send some to relatives - one in Houston Texas and one in Springfield Oregon.

Please let me know what shipping and handling would be if I send a pound to each of them.

Thanks and regards and wonderful memories of an awesome treat - your products!

Dear Sharon, Thanks, again, for providing us with such a wonderful stay at your place. Like I told you when we were leaving, your cabin and grounds were my absolute favorite out of the sixteen days we were on vacation. Your hospitality and warmth made us feel so comfortable. The grounds and the cleanliness of your rooms put me at peace. Your country store provided us with a great meal; and I loved your coffee. I hope that someday we will be able to return to your cabins, and stay even longer. You live in such a beautiful part of our country. Thank you, again!

Dear Sharon,

I would like to thank you both for providing such a lovely place for our vacation. I meant to send you this when we arrived back home, however we discovered we had a flash flood in the basement of our home when a thunderstorm came through our town and we had to immediately get that taken care of. We wished we had stayed longer as when we moved inland through Redding and into to our friends town (Oroville, Calif) the temperature became unbearably warm (118 degrees). We have many wonderful pictures and memories that I will hold dearly for years and as I'm sure my family will as well. I have recommended to my friends and co-workers that you provide a comfortable facilities in a terrific location and the most friendly people I know,. It means a lot, Thank You, keep up the good work.

Dear Sharon,

We've just returned home to humid South Florida and I'm already wearing my new "Bigfoot Country Woodland Villa" t-shirt and missing your part of the world. Cool nights and beautiful summer days can't be beat. No wonder Bigfoot chooses your forests. Thanks for a great stay. It's obvious you've put a lot of thought and effort into the resort. You simply provide everything in that well-stocked store. Tremendous coffee and local brews. Pretty darn good rotisserie chicken we brought up to the nearby coast for a high-overlook picnic (what a view!!!). Clean, cute cabin was great for our family. We hope to see you again. Perhaps we need to discuss a long term lease.

Dear Sharon

On behalf of Al, Mike, Kim, myself( Susan), and all the kids, we wanted to thank you for making us feel so welcome in "your neck of the woods!". We loved the cabins and we followed your advice on Sunday and went out to the beach and the tide pools......incredible!!!! We really enjoyed everything about Klamath, thank you for everything!
Let us know when your comments page is up on the website and when the back row of cabins is up and running. Have a great week.
